Four arrested in holiday light vandalism in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA — Four people have been arrested in connection with vandalism that caused an estimated $45,000 in damage to a holiday light display at Lehigh Parkway.

The vandalism occurred Saturday evening into Sunday morning.

Several light fixtures from the Lights in the Parkway display were damaged, along with a portable toilet and other fixtures within the park, according to the Allentown Police Department.

Police conducted an investigation that included interviews and evidence review.

Investigators determined four people worked together to commit the vandalism.

Daniel Weaver, 18, of Lower Macungie, was charged with criminal mischief exceeding $5,000 and criminal conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, both third-degree felonies.

Three juvenile males, ages 17, were also arrested and face the same charges.

Two of the juveniles are from Salisbury Township and one is from Lower Macungie.
