Multiple DWI arrests reported across Capital Region

MOREAU, NY — State Police stopped a vehicle on Fort Edward Road on Jan. 15, 2026, at about 11:58 a.m. for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Timothy W. Howe, 35, of South Glens Falls.

A child under the age of 16 was located in the vehicle and turned over to a family member.

Howe was arrested for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a Child (Leandra’s Law) and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to State Police Wilton for processing where he recorded a 0.09% BAC.

Howe was issued tickets returnable to the Moreau Town Court on Jan. 21, 2026, and released to a sober third party.

WATERVLIET, NY — State Police stopped a vehicle on I-787 on Jan. 16, 2026, at about 10:10 p.m. for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

The driver was identified as Alfred M. Figueroa-Roblero, 24, of Albany.

Figueroa-Roblero was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to State Police Brunswick for processing where he recorded a 0.19% BAC.

Figueroa-Roblero was issued tickets returnable to the Troy City Court on Jan. 28, 2026, and released to a sober third party.

MALTA, NY — State Police responded to a two-car collision on State Route 9 on Jan. 17, 2026, at about 9:26 p.m.

One of the drivers was identified as Carrie J. Etesse, 51, of Ballston Spa.

Etesse was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

She was transported to State Police Saratoga for processing where she recorded a 0.24% BAC.

Etesse was issued tickets returnable to the Malta Town Court on Feb. 19, 2026, and released.

GREENFIELD, NY — State Police responded to the report of a vehicle off the roadway of State Route 9N on Jan. 19, 2026, at about 9:06 p.m.

The driver was identified as Cade J. Nepus, 23, of Schuylerville.

Nepus was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to State Police Wilton for processing where he recorded a 0.19% BAC.

Nepus was issued tickets returnable to the Greenfield Town Court on Feb. 9, 2026, and released.

CLIFTON PARK, NY — State Police responded to a report of a vehicle off the roadway into a tree on Valencia Lane on Jan. 18, 2026, at about 7:47 p.m.

The driver was identified as Joseph J. Gavin, 33, of Clifton Park.

Gavin was unresponsive when troopers arrived and was administered multiple doses of Naloxone and regained consciousness while in EMS care.

Gavin had been witnessed operating the vehicle erratically and striking multiple mailboxes and street signs prior to the collision.

Gavin denied injuries and refused further medical treatment at which time he was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs and other vehicle and traffic law violations.

He was transported to State Police Clifton Park for processing where he refused to provide a sample to determine the drug content of his blood.

Further investigation discovered Gavin has had a previous DWI conviction in the last ten years.

Gavin was issued tickets returnable to the Clifton Park Town Court on Jan. 27, 2026, and released to a sober third party.

SAND LAKE, NY — State Police responded to the reports of a vehicle disabled off the roadway of Sheer Road on Jan. 20, 2026, at about 2:26 a.m.

The driver was identified as Sean D. Foster, 22, of Watervliet.

Foster was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic law violations.
