Commercial burglaries reported in Boston

BOSTON, MA — Police are investigating a series of commercial burglaries that have occurred across multiple districts since Jan. 14.

Two of the incidents took place on Jan. 18 between 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. at separate businesses in South Boston, where front glass was smashed and cash registers were targeted.

The burglaries have generally occurred during overnight hours and all involved forced entry by breaking a front door or window.

In each case, cash registers were either stolen or accessed.

Several incidents also reported a suspect operating a scooter.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents.
