Counselor arrested on sex charge in Albany, NY

ALBANY, NY — Police are seeking additional potential victims following the arrest of an addiction treatment center counselor on a sexual conduct charge.

Benaya Rogers, 62, of Albany, was arrested for inappropriate sexual conduct involving a client at Camino Nuevo addiction treatment center on Central Avenue, where he worked as a counselor.

Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Unit believe there may be additional victims who experienced unwanted and inappropriate interactions with Rogers.

Police are encouraging anyone who had inappropriate contact with Rogers to come forward.
