BOSTON, MA — A man already serving a life sentence has been charged in connection with a 1999 homicide after forensic evidence linked him to the crime.
Cornell Bell was arraigned last week in Suffolk Superior Court for the murder of Caryn Bonner, according to the Boston Police Department.
Boston Police detectives from the Cold Case Unit, working with Crime Lab forensic analysts, matched Bell to the 1999 killing through a comprehensive forensic review.
Bell is currently serving a life sentence for a separate incident.
The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
