SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police arrested a 68-year-old man after he allegedly threatened household members and attempted to break into a residence he was barred from entering.
Danny A. Smith, of South Windsor, was taken into custody at 9:31 p.m. Tuesday following a domestic incident.
Officers responded to a report of a male party threatening household members and attempting to break down a door to a residence he was not allowed to be at.
An on-scene investigation determined Smith engaged in an altercation with multiple victims in violation of an active protective order.
Smith was charged with criminal trespass in the first degree and two counts of violation of a protective order.
He was processed and held on a $55,000 surety bond.
Smith is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court Wednesday at 9 a.m.
In a separate incident, police arrested a Hartford man on a warrant stemming from a December larceny.
Eduardo A. Cruz-Mazzini, 37, of Hartford, was arrested at 12:43 a.m. Wednesday on an active arrest warrant.
The charge stems from the theft of a desktop gaming computer valued at $2,599.99 from Costco at 1220 Tamarack Avenue in December.
Cruz-Mazzini was taken into custody by Hartford police and transferred to South Windsor police, where he was processed and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.
