PROVIDENCE, RI — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a Providence man on child molestation charges on January 20, 2026.
Alexander L. Lake, 27, of Providence, was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Providence Police Department.
Lake faces charges of first-degree child molestation and two counts of second-degree child molestation.
He was transported to the Providence Police Department.
In a separate incident on January 20, 2026, members of the Special Victims Unit arrested Richard G. Toles, 58, of Providence, for delivery of Schedule I or II controlled substance to a minor (fentanyl).
Toles was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released.
Also on January 20, 2026, members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Frank Breggia, 53, of North Providence, for 11 counts of casino gaming – tamper or interfere with any equipment.
Breggia was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a future Third District Court date.
