Man arrested on felony charge in Cuba

CUBA, NY — A man was arrested early Sunday morning on a felony charge.

James Scotchmer, 41, of Jamestown, was taken into custody at approximately 2:55 a.m. Jan. 17, 2026.

He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree, a felony.

Scotchmer was processed and transported to the Allegany County Jail.
