ALBANY, NY — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday evening on Second Street.
Around 8:40 p.m., staff from Albany Memorial Hospital notified police after a male entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound.
Officers located a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his arm.
The victim was treated at Albany Memorial Hospital and later transferred to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries for further care.
Through further investigation, it was determined that the victim was shot on the 300 block of Second Street near Judson Street at around 6:30 p.m.
The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Albany Police Detective Division at (518) 462-8039.
