VERSHIRE, VT — Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks began an investigation into alleged false pretenses on Oct. 27 at approximately 9:49 a.m.
The incident occurred on Vermont Route 113.
The victim was identified as Elizabeth Bricker, 77, of Vershire.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Tina Wright, 52, of Shoreham, was cited for false pretenses.
Wright is scheduled to appear in Orange County Criminal Court on Feb. 18, 2026, to answer to the charge.
