Man arrested in fatal stabbing in Worcester

WORCESTER, MA — A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred on Main Street.

Police responded to the area of 544 Main Street at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 15, 2026, after a stabbing victim flagged down a passerby for assistance.

The victim, who suffered stab wounds to the torso, was transported to a local hospital by Worcester EMS and pronounced deceased a short time later.

Tailor Albert Quinonez, 40, of Worcester, was also located near 544 Main Street with a wound to his forehead and a laceration on his hand.

After interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence, Worcester Police Department detectives arrested Quinonez on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed assault with intent to murder.
