BOSTON, MA — A Woburn man was arrested Thursday on drug distribution charges following an alleged street-level transaction in the South End.
Raiquan Turner, 29, of Woburn, was taken into custody by officers assigned to the Drug Control Unit of District D-4.
At approximately 10:52 a.m., officers observed Turner engage in a hand-to-hand exchange with another male on Northampton Street, which they believed to be a drug transaction.
Turner was seen walking from the area toward Washington Street.
A marked cruiser was requested to respond, and Turner was stopped at the intersection of Washington Street and Massachusetts Avenue.
During a search incident to arrest, officers recovered 14 plastic bags of crack cocaine.
Turner is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of distribution of a Class B substance and possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance.
