PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island State Police arrested three people on Jan. 16 on various charges.
At 9:15 a.m., troopers arrested Olin B. May, 27, of Lowell, Massachusetts, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to vehicle.
The arrest originated from a Rhode Island State Police Scituate Barracks investigation.
May turned himself in at Rhode Island State Police Headquarters.
He was processed and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
At 6:58 p.m., troopers arrested Richard Ovalle, 32, of Cranston, on a Family Court bench warrant for a reciprocal body attachment for a non-criminal charge.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 East in Providence.
Ovalle was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.
At 11:01 p.m., troopers arrested Edmund Davis, 31, of Providence, for forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, possession of a Schedule I-V controlled substance – 10 grams or less (ecstasy) and driving with a suspended license – fourth or subsequent offense.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Atwells Avenue in Providence.
Davis was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace and released with a future Sixth District Court date.
