Head-on crash under investigation in Randolph

RANDOLPH, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a head-on collision that sent one driver to the hospital with serious injuries early Thursday morning.

The crash occurred at approximately 5:13 a.m. on Vermont Route 12 in the area of Meadow Lane.

Police said a 2010 Subaru Forester collided head-on with a 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage.

The driver of the Subaru fled the scene and has not been identified.

Andrew White, 46, of Royalton, was driving the Mitsubishi and was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with suspected serious injuries.

Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, according to police.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.

Weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
