SAUGERTIES, NY — A Kingston man was arrested on drunken driving charges following a motor vehicle accident on Jan. 14.
Louis A. Alvarado-Torres, 28, of Kingston, was taken into custody at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Kings Highway, according to the Saugerties Police Department.
Following an investigation into the accident, Alvarado-Torres was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher, both misdemeanors.
Alvarado-Torres was processed at the Saugerties Police Department and transported to CAP court for arraignment.
The Centerville Fire Department and Diaz Ambulance assisted police at the scene.
