UTICA, NY — A traffic stop led to drug charges for a 64-year-old man Sunday evening.
Officers with the Crime Prevention Unit conducted a vehicle stop at Cornelia Street and Aiken Street at approximately 8 p.m. Jan. 12 for vehicle and traffic law violations.
Police learned the operator’s driving privileges in New York state were suspended and took him into custody.
During a search following his arrest, officers located a significant quantity of suspected cocaine.
Michael Garramone, 64, of Boonville, was transported to the Utica Police Department.
He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and several vehicle and traffic law violations.
