GENEVA, NY — A Rochester man faces felony drug charges following a weeks-long investigation by city police.
Shimal A. Slade, 27, of Rochester, was arrested at approximately 5 p.m. Monday on a charge of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.
Members of the Geneva Police Department’s Detective Bureau identified Slade as selling narcotics from a residence on Genesee Street, according to a news release from the department.
Slade ran from officers and fought with them before being detained, police said.
He was processed at the Geneva Police Department and transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment.
Additional charges are pending, police said.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office Drug Task Force assisted in the investigation.
