Multiple arrests reported in East Hampton

EAST HAMPTON, CT — East Hampton police issued summonses and made arrests on various charges over a nine-day period in January, according to a department press release.

On Jan. 3, Victoriano Diaz, 40, of Cromwell was issued a summons for evading responsibility and unsafe passing following an investigation into a two-car motor vehicle accident on West High Street in which one driver fled the scene.

Diaz is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Wednesday at 9 a.m.

On Jan. 5, Melissa Laribee, 33, of East Hampton was issued a summons for criminal lockout.

Laribee is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Tuesday at 9 a.m.

On Jan. 7, Zachary Russenberger, 30, of Colchester turned himself in pursuant to two active warrants held by the department and was charged with violation of a restraining order and violation of a protective order.

Russenberger was unable to post the total of $10,000 in cash or surety bonds and was held in police custody until his arraignment later that morning at Middletown Superior Court.

On Jan. 9, Matthew Maffuci, 40, of East Hartford was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Maffuci is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Jan. 21 at 9 a.m.

On Jan. 10, Wade Vogel, 33, of Southington was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to maintain lane.

Vogel is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Jan. 21 at 9 a.m.

On Jan. 10, Joseph Kwasnick, 47, of East Hampton was issued a summons for speeding.

Kwasnick is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Jan. 21 at 9 a.m.

On Jan. 10, Amy Porter, 50, of Hebron was arrested for driving under the influence and failure to drive right.

Porter is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Jan. 28 at 9 a.m.

On Jan. 11, Julia Horan, 60, of East Hampton was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Horan was scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on Monday at 9 a.m.

Between Jan. 5 and Jan. 11, officers responded to 17 medical calls, one motor vehicle accident, six alarms and 19 traffic stops.
