ROYALTON, VT — A woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Route 14 on Jan. 9, 2026.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks were dispatched to the crash at approximately 9:31 p.m.
The operator was identified as Benazir Iderbei, 39, of Royalton.
During the investigation, troopers determined that Iderbei was impaired.
She was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
Iderbei was driving a 2016 Kia Sorento that sustained significant damage in the crash.
She was transported to a hospital with unknown injuries.
Road conditions at the time were wet and icy, and weather conditions were windy.
Iderbei was released with a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court in Windsor.
