Woman arrested on burglary charge in Wilton

WILTON, NY — A woman was arrested on felony burglary charges following a welfare check at a bank Saturday night.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office responded to Arrow Bank at 11:43 p.m. Saturday.

Elizabeth R. Usher, 36, of Greenfield, was charged with attempted burglary in the third degree, a class E felony, and criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Usher is accused of knowingly and unlawfully attempting to enter a building with intent to commit a crime therein and of intentionally damaging property of another.

She allegedly shattered a window at the bank in an unsuccessful effort to gain access to it.

She was released on an appearance ticket pending proceedings in Wilton Town Court.
