Man charged with larceny in Plattsburgh

PLATTSBURGH, NY — New York State Police have charged a man in connection with two separate theft incidents at retail stores.

Lee I. Sajler, 39, of Plattsburgh, was charged with petit larceny and grand larceny 4th degree.

On Oct. 6, at approximately 8:57 a.m., state police responded to Smithfield Boulevard in Plattsburgh for a larceny complaint.

An investigation determined that an unknown male had stolen two guitars by passing all points of purchase without paying.

On Jan. 8, 2026, at approximately 1:09 p.m., troopers responded to Walmart, located in Consumer Square in Plattsburgh, for a separate larceny complaint.

An investigation determined that a male entered the store and stole merchandise valued at over $1,000 by passing all points of purchase without paying.

During the investigation, police identified Sajler as the suspect.

Further investigation determined that Sajler was also responsible for the theft of the two guitars from the October incident.

Sajler was processed at State Police Plattsburgh.

He was arraigned in the Town of Plattsburgh Court and released on his own recognizance.
