Man arrested on weapons charges in Oneida

ONEIDA, NY — A man faces multiple weapons charges following two separate arrests last week.

Christopher L. Collatz, of Oneida, was arrested Jan. 7 on charges of criminal possession of a weapon second-degree: loaded firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, criminal use of a firearm second-degree and menacing second-degree: weapon.

Collatz was arrested again Jan. 8 on charges of criminal possession of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon third-degree: assault rifle and criminal possession of a weapon third-degree: ammo clip.

The arrests were among several made by Oneida City Police between Jan. 1 and Jan. 8.

On Jan. 1, Antonio L. Lawrence Sr., of Utica, was arrested for acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

David E. Williams, of Oneida, was arrested Jan. 1 on an arrest warrant for aggravated harassment second-degree.

On Jan. 4, Adam T. Witchley, of Munnsville, was issued an appearance ticket for criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh-degree as well as a traffic ticket for aggravated unlicensed operation third-degree.

Jeremy R. Wright, of Oneida, was arrested Jan. 4 on a bench warrant for petit larceny.

A male juvenile was arrested Jan. 6 on an arrest warrant for an ABC violation of possession/consumption of alcohol under 21.

Breanne L. Findlay, of Oneida, was issued a criminal summons Jan. 8 for harassment second-degree.
