Livonia man arrested on felony domestic charge in Livonia

LIVONIA, NY — A Livonia man faces felony charges after allegedly violating an order of protection during a domestic incident.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Cleary Road in the Town of Livonia at approximately 6:40 a.m. on January 8 for a reported domestic incident.

Frank Malone, 48, of Livonia, allegedly got into a physical altercation with a female at the residence, according to Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty.

An active order of protection was in place protecting the female from Malone at the time of the alleged incident.

Malone was arrested and charged with felony criminal contempt in the first degree and harassment in the second degree.

He was transported to the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.

Malone was arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part before Town of York Justice Porter.

The District Attorney’s Office recommended Malone be held on $15,000 cash bail.

The judge remanded Malone to the custody of the sheriff in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office represented Malone at the arraignment.
