LOCKE, NY — A 22-year-old man was arrested following a domestic incident in which he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife and damaged property with a sword.

James R. Roundy III, of Locke, was arrested at 1:16 p.m. on Jan. 7 and charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and menacing in the third degree, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.

Deputies from the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office and a unit from the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in the town of Locke at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Jan. 7 for a reported domestic incident.

Roundy then obtained a sword and damaged multiple items inside the home, authorities said.
