Woman robbed in Roxbury

BOSTON, MA — Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Roxbury on Sunday afternoon.

The incident took place at approximately 2 p.m. in the area of 1443 Tremont Street.

According to the Boston Police Department, a suspect struck a female victim and removed a hat from her head before fleeing the area.

The suspect was last seen running down Halleck Street toward Prentiss Street.

Detectives assigned to District B-2 are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are no longer seeking public assistance in identifying the individual connected to the robbery.
