ROME, NY — Members of the Rome Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a reported burglary at Copper City Smoke Shop and Beverage at approximately 5:53 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers arrived at the business, located at 218 South James Street, and spoke with the victim.
The victim reported that an unknown male suspect smashed the glass front door to gain entry into the business.
Once inside, the suspect took a quantity of lottery tickets before fleeing the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
The Rome Police Department is asking anyone with information related to this incident to come forward.
