Cocaine seized in Ellicott search warrant execution

ELLICOTT, NY — Narcotics investigators seized more than 295 grams of cocaine during a search warrant execution Monday.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and Jamestown Police Department executed the warrant at 44 Glidden Ave. at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 5.

Matthew Bindics was located at the residence during the search.

Investigators seized 295.5 grams of cocaine, scales and packaging used for the sale and distribution of narcotics, and $4,555 in U.S. currency.

Bindics was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

He will be arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Program at the Chautauqua County Jail.

Authorities are asking community members to report suspicious or narcotics-related activity in their neighborhoods.
