BERLIN, CT — A North Haven man turned himself in to police Wednesday in connection with a New Year’s Eve bank robbery.
Thomas Marra, 53, of North Haven, surrendered to the Berlin Police Department on Jan. 7 and was held on $150,000 bond.
Police said a male suspect entered Webster Bank at 40 Webster Square Road at approximately 10:03 a.m. on Dec. 31 and handed a teller a note demanding money.
The suspect threatened the use of a firearm, according to police.
The suspect was seen leaving the area in a 2020 gray Cadillac CT6 with Connecticut license plate L01333L.
The Berlin Police Investigations Division, along with local, state and federal law enforcement partners, investigated the robbery.
Police executed two search and seizure warrants on Dec. 31, one at a residence in North Haven and another on the suspect vehicle in North Haven.
An arrest warrant for Marra was granted on Jan. 2.
Marra was arraigned at GA 15 New Britain Superior Court on Thursday.
He is charged with second-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny.
