DELHI, NY — A New York man was arrested on a felony charge after a traffic stop on Delhi Drive on Jan. 5, 2026.
Jason Omar Alicea, 26, of New York, was charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a class D felony, according to New York State Police at Margaretville.
A trooper observed a vehicle speeding and initiated a traffic stop at approximately 10:54 p.m. in the town of Delhi.
The trooper determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen to the New York Police Department.
Alicea was arrested and transported to State Police Margaretville.
Two dogs in the vehicle were turned over to a third party.
Alicea was processed and turned over to the Delaware County Jail for centralized arraignment.
