Woman arrested on assault charge in Hoosick Falls

HOOSICK FALLS, NY — A woman was arrested following a disturbance at a residence on River Street on Friday night.

Tammarah A. Foster, 31, of Hoosick Falls, was charged with third-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief, all class A misdemeanors.

The Hoosick Falls Police Department was dispatched to the residence at approximately 10:04 p.m. for a reported active disturbance.

Police said Foster assaulted another person in the home, causing injury to that individual.

During the disturbance, Foster also caused damage to property belonging to someone else, according to police.

Both the assault and the property destruction occurred in the presence of children under 17 years of age.

The injured person was treated for their injuries.

Foster was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Village Court on Jan. 22, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
