WALTON, NY — A Walton man was arrested Wednesday following a domestic assault in which a tenant was stabbed multiple times, according to Delaware County Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.
Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of an assault in the Village of Walton on Wednesday.
The investigation revealed that Joseph Jimenez, 41, of Walton, engaged in a physical domestic altercation with a tenant of the household during which he allegedly produced a bladed weapon and stabbed the victim multiple times.
Deputies located and arrested Jimenez.
He was charged with one count of assault in the first degree, a class B felony, menacing in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Following arrest processing, Jimenez was transported to the Delaware County Correctional Facility where he was held pending his arraignment at CAP Court.
