DELHI, NY — A Middletown man was arrested Tuesday on an outstanding warrant for endangering the welfare of a child.

Ariel Devers, 36, of Middletown, was taken into custody at the Department of Social Services in the village, according to Delaware County Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.

The warrant stems from an investigation that began July 3 when deputies responded to a call involving a child in the town of Middletown.

The Middletown Town Court issued the arrest warrant for Devers on Sept. 30.

Delhi Police Department notified sheriff’s deputies Tuesday that Devers was at the Department of Social Services.

Deputies located and arrested Devers on the warrant.

He was turned over to the Delaware County Correctional Facility to await arraignment at CAP Court.
