Woman arrested on larceny charge in Cortlandville

CORTLANDVILLE, NY — A woman faces larceny and child endangerment charges following an incident at a Walmart on Thursday afternoon.

Kendra R. Harvey, 26, of Cortland, was arrested at 4:53 p.m. Thursday at the Walmart located at 819 Bennie Road.

Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the store at approximately 3:48 p.m. for a larceny complaint.

Upon arrival, officers determined Harvey had stolen merchandise from the store.

Harvey was taken into custody and transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

She was charged with petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.

Harvey was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process at 8 p.m. Thursday and released on her own recognizance.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 26 at 1 p.m. in Town of Cortlandville Court.
