SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a woman in connection with a road rage incident on Interstate 89 northbound.
Caron Adams, 34, of Swanton, was taken into custody on Jan. 5 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless endangerment.
Police were notified of the incident on Dec. 22 at approximately 9:08 a.m. near mile marker 88.0.
During the investigation, troopers developed probable cause to believe Adams pointed a firearm at another motorist during the incident.
Troopers from the Williston Barracks, assisted by the St. Albans Barracks, took Adams into custody without incident on Jan. 5.
Adams was transported to the Williston Barracks for processing and subsequently transported to Chittenden County Superior Court, Criminal Division.
Adams was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court on May 27 at 8:30 a.m.
