WEST GREENWICH, RI — A Connecticut man faces multiple charges following a high-speed pursuit on Route 95 early Sunday morning.
Victor Encarnacion, 38, of Groton, Connecticut, was arrested at 2:31 a.m. Sunday, according to Rhode Island State Police.
Encarnacion was charged with license or permit required for carrying a pistol, possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited, possession of a stolen firearm, eluding law enforcement in a high-speed pursuit, reckless driving and other offenses against public safety, duty to stop in accident resulting in damage to attended vehicle, and receiving stolen goods under $1,500.
The arrest followed a motor vehicle pursuit on Route 95 in West Greenwich.
Encarnacion was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
He was later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
