TRENTON, NJ — A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a house fire that authorities say was intentionally set last month.

Christopher Perez, of Trenton, was charged with aggravated arson and criminal mischief following an investigation into a fire at 102 Fulton Street.

Trenton police and fire personnel were dispatched to the address at 10:22 a.m. on Dec. 23 for a report of a house fire.

After fire suppression efforts, the fire marshal determined the fire was suspicious in nature.

Detectives from the Trenton Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau and Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office Arson Units responded to the scene.

Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set and identified Perez as the suspect.

Perez was taken into custody on Dec. 30.

He was also found to have an outstanding warrant for credit card fraud and receiving stolen property from a previous incident in November.
