PORT JERVIS, NY — A traffic stop last week led to the seizure of a significant quantity of illegal narcotics from a rental vehicle, according to the Port Jervis Police Department.
Officer Wagner and Officer N. Osowick recovered approximately 84 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 3 grams of suspected cocaine, and a large quantity of glassine envelopes containing an unknown substance during the investigation.
The unknown substance is currently being sent for laboratory testing.
A female passenger in the vehicle was taken into custody on a warrant related to drug offenses.
The driver was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance/Narcotic, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree.
The driver is currently incarcerated at the Orange County Jail.
