HUNTINGTON, VT — A man was arrested on a DUI charge following a single-vehicle crash early New Year’s Day.
Troopers from the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks were dispatched at approximately 5:21 a.m. Jan. 1, 2026, to the report of a crash on Main Road.
Upon arrival, troopers made contact with and identified the operator as Brandan Bates, 33, of Huntington.
While speaking with Bates, troopers observed multiple indicators of impairment.
After further investigation, Bates was placed under arrest on suspicion of DUI and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.
Bates was released with a citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Jan. 22, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
