THETFORD, VT — A two-vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 91 South near mile marker 82.3 on Dec. 30.

Vermont State Police responded to the scene at approximately 3:28 p.m. along with Upper Valley Ambulance and the Thetford Fire Department.

The crash was initially reported as a three-vehicle collision, but troopers determined only two vehicles were involved.

Skyler Bellville, 19, of Guilford, was operating a 2010 Toyota Camry southbound when the vehicle attempted to pass a 2022 Ford E450 operated by Kevin Perry Jr., 35, of Somersworth, New Hampshire.

The Toyota drove onto a section of ice, causing it to fail to maintain its lane and strike the Ford.

The Toyota also struck a guardrail before coming to rest off the west side of the road.

Aiden Eckhardt, 21, of Bartlett, New Hampshire, was a passenger in the Toyota.

James Frost-Turnquist, 18, of Canaan, New Hampshire, was a passenger in the Ford.

All occupants were wearing seat belts and reported no injuries.

The Toyota sustained moderate front-end damage, while the Ford sustained minor rear driver’s side damage.

Road conditions at the time included partial ice cover on the blacktop surface.
