Armed robbery reported in Windsor Locks

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT — Police are investigating an armed robbery at a hotel early Monday morning.

Officers responded to the Bradley Inn at 5 Ella Grasso Turnpike at 10:04 a.m. Dec. 30 for a report of an armed robbery.

A hotel employee told police a man wearing a black hoodie, black coat and black half-face mask approached him in the northeast corner of the parking lot and asked if he had a lighter.

The victim said he did not have a lighter and continued walking toward the building.

The suspect forced the victim against the building, held a handgun to his head and demanded the rings he was wearing, according to police.

The victim gave the suspect two rings but refused to give up his wedding ring.

The suspect then forced the victim into the building before fleeing on foot heading west.

A K-9 track from Connecticut State Police Troop H was negative, indicating the suspect may have had a vehicle nearby.

The victim sustained minor injuries.
