WATERBURY, CT — A Waterbury man has been charged with murder in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred Friday evening.
Kendren Barnes, 47, of Waterbury, was arrested Monday and charged with murder in the death of a man at 144 Grove Street.
Police responded to the address at 7:17 p.m. Friday for reports of a physical altercation involving a weapon.
Officers found two male victims at the scene with wounds consistent with an edged weapon.
Both victims were transported to local hospitals, where one later died from his injuries.
Barnes was taken into custody Monday and turned over to court, where he was held on $2.5 million bond.
Police said the incident appears to be isolated and there is no active threat to the public or building residents.
The investigation remains ongoing.
