IRASBURG, VT — A 44-year-old man was arrested on a DUI charge following a single-vehicle rollover on Christmas Day.
Troopers with the Vermont State Police Derby barracks were dispatched to the intersection of VT Route 14 and VT Route 58 at 3:34 p.m. on Dec. 25 for a report of a rollover.
Investigation revealed the vehicle failed to stop prior to entering the intersection and rolled over an embankment on the opposing side.
Roads were snow covered at the time of the crash and snow was falling.
The operator, Douglas Aulis, of Jay, was not injured.
Troopers observed indicators of impairment, and Aulis was transported to the Derby barracks for processing.
Aulis was released with a citation to answer to the charge of DUI #3 on Dec. 26 at 12:30 p.m. in Orleans Criminal Court.
The 2014 Ford F-150 sustained minor damage to the roof.
