BANGOR, NY — New York State Police charged Tiffany E. Shonyo, 40, of Chateaugay with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, criminal use of drug paraphernalia in the second degree, possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container, and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
On December 22, at approximately 7:13 p.m., troopers observed a red 2004 Honda Pilot traveling westbound on State Route 11 in the town of Bangor commit a vehicle and traffic law violation.
Troopers initiated a traffic stop and interviewed the driver, who was identified as Shonyo.
During the investigation, troopers determined Shonyo did not possess a valid New York State driver’s license and that her driving privileges were suspended.
She was taken into custody.
A subsequent vehicle inventory resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia and narcotics belonging to Shonyo.
Shonyo was transported to SP Malone for processing and was later released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Bangor Court on a date in January.
