SOUTH HERO, VT — The Grand Isle County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at a Lake Drive residence on Dec. 24 following an investigation into numerous package theft complaints.
Kevin Manning, 30, of South Hero, was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
The search warrant was executed at approximately 10 a.m. at 20 Lake Drive.
The investigation was conducted in collaboration with Grand Isle States Attorney Doug Disabato prior to seeking the search warrant, which was granted due to multiple complaints of package thefts from residents throughout Grand Isle County.
Vermont State Police, Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife Wardens Service and agents from the Postal Inspector Unit assisted in executing the warrant.
Multiple reported stolen items were recovered during the search, as well as items that had not yet been reported as stolen.
The Grand Isle County Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone who believes they may have been a victim of package theft to contact the department.
Manning was processed and released on a citation to appear in Grand Isle District Court on Jan. 22, 2026.
