Man arrested on drug trafficking charge in Rockland

ROCKLAND, ME — Police arrested a transient man on drug trafficking charges after responding to a complaint at a local hotel on Dec. 22.

Mark Gagne, 43, was arrested for violation of conditions of release after officers determined he had failed to update the court of his current address as required by his conditional release.

Gagne was on several sets of bail for prior charges, including abuse of a corpse and felony drug trafficking.

A search of Gagne incident to arrest recovered approximately 26 grams of fentanyl, along with other evidence of drug trafficking.

Gagne was booked into the Knox County Jail on charges of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release.
