Shots fired into residence in Utica

UTICA, NY — Police are investigating a shooting that damaged a residence on the 1100 block of Neilson Street.

The incident occurred Dec. 22 at approximately 7:20 p.m. when a ShotSpotter alert detected gunfire in the area.

Several rounds were fired during the incident, with one round striking a residence, according to the Utica Police Department.
