CLINTON, MA — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Monday afternoon near Main Street.
Clinton police and fire departments responded to the railroad tracks parallel to Main Street near Jewett Court at approximately 12:35 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a train.
The incident was reported to the Clinton Public Safety Dispatch Center by CSX Railroad Company.
Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office responded to the scene.
State police detectives are investigating the incident along with Clinton police detectives and officers and CSX.
