WATERLOO, NY — A traffic stop on Waterloo-Geneva Road led to the arrest of a man on weapons and traffic charges.
Russell Linz, 52, of Romulus, was arrested following the stop conducted by New York State Police on Dec. 19.
At approximately 1:38 p.m., a trooper observed a pickup truck traveling eastbound without a front license plate and displaying an expired inspection sticker.
An investigation determined the vehicle was unregistered and displaying plates not assigned to it.
The operator was also found to be operating with a suspended driver’s license.
During a vehicle inventory, troopers located a loaded .22-caliber revolver inside the vehicle.
Linz was taken into custody without incident.
Linz was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a class C felony.
He was also issued multiple uniform traffic tickets.
Linz was processed at State Police Waterloo and transported to the Seneca County Jail for centralized arraignment.
