NEWFANE, VT — A Whitingham man was cited for excessive speed after a trooper clocked him driving 90 mph in a 50 mph zone on Dec. 22.
Ethan Betit, 28, of Whitingham, was stopped at approximately 7:21 p.m. on Route 30 after a Vermont State Police trooper observed his vehicle traveling well above the speed limit.
The trooper confirmed the vehicle’s speed using radar.
Betit was issued a traffic ticket and a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Feb. 10, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
