FRANKLIN BOROUGH, NJ — A woman was arrested on weapons and assault charges following a dispute on Main Street on the evening of Dec. 18.
Lauren Wade, 43, of Franklin Borough, was charged by patrol officers Daniel Flora and Nicholas Della Fera after they responded to a complaint of an assault.
During the investigation, officers determined that Wade deployed pepper spray into the face of an occupant of a parked vehicle during a verbal altercation.
Emergency medical services were requested to provide aid to the victim as a result of the exposure.
Wade was charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a third-degree crime, and simple assault, a disorderly persons offense.
She was issued a complaint summons and released pending her appearance in Sussex County Superior Court in accordance with the New Jersey Bail Reform Act.
